I have a big brain!

I was bored last night so I went onto one of my dating sites and a guy who lives in NY, NY IM'd me.  He told me he liked not only smile but my mouth! Wierd! Then, he asked if I understood his screen name and in my mind, I was thinking "I hope not"! He said it was a double entendre.  I steered the conversation away from that for about a minute and then signed off.

the picture doesn't match the bio

So, I was bored last night and went on Jdate even though I never have any luck on that site.  I had noticed a guy called 'German Jew' checked me out again so I sent him a note saying hello.  He wrote back and sounded like he had potential at first. His bio stated he had a law degree and that he was in the Merchant Marine- whatever that is.  Then, we started talking and he said he had gone on a date that day but the girl seemed to like him more than he liked her/ no chemistry.  I said I understood and had had the same experience.  Then, he laid it out:  He was basically a student in the Merchant Marine- again, never heard of the organization- and he had no job! I asked if him it was difficult to date w/out a job (read- why the hell are you trying to meet women, then?) and he said he gets lonely.  I told him I imagine most of us online are lonely at times.  So, not gonna meet the German Jew.
I really want to see Nick again anyway.

I don't like playing games

Why is it thato the man has the upper hand and that the man 'enjoys the chase'?  I want to call Nick but I am following the 'rules'.  I've been talking to Nick for a few days online and then on the phone twice for a total of 6 hours on the phone which was really fun. The 2nd conversation we had got a little crazy because we were asking eachother a lot of personal questions.
He's very funny because he's very observant.  We later agreed that we only laugh when things are funny.  We talked about fantasy weekend getaways and also just enjoying the journey on the way to the getaway.  He is very proud of buying his single mother sister a Volvo and restoring it for her.  It's a beautiful car and I am really impressed by his great relationship with his sister and Mother.
So, he asked me out on a Monday for the following Sunday so I suggested Thursday night instead.  I told him I didn't want to wait that long to meet him.  I felt a little assertive so i told him he should be flattered that I want to meet him asap.
He offered to pick me up and I know people say it's a bad idea to invite someone to your home but I trust him. He works for my temple and we have people in common.
So, he picked me up and here's a great first:  We were sitting in the backyard and he looked at me and siad "i want to kiss you but don't want to mess up your lipstick"! I loved it and said 'it's okay'!
So, he kissed me, then we went into the house and we made out in the kitchen! Before we even headed out for our date.

Online Dating is Challenging

I've decided to start blogging again because I've had a lot of adventures in cyberspace over the last several months.
Where to start?  I've been looking for love/something/adventure/sex (?)  online since November of 2009.  My first relationship was with 'guitar man' if you all recall.  We dated for 2 months during whcich time he had  deep dark secret which he finally shared. Then,  he told me he didn't want to fall in love or have a relationship.  He broke my heart but I got through it.
I don't want this to be a depressing blog because I look at all of this with a sense of adventure.  I've become addicted to checking my current site every day because I get a lot of attention on it.
The characters I've met since starting this adventure called dating:

the guy who lived in Hemet (otherwise known as redneck land) with his Mom, in a trailer, and was unemployed.  He was a friend/lover from my early twenties and I was lonely so it was fun.  It turned out he was an alcoholic so I told him I couldn't continue.

There was Lee who I met on Eharmony:  Took me to really cool places but was really boring and had bad teeth.  On our last 2nd date,  we still hadn't kissed so i called him and said 'I want to kiss you, where are you/'  and he said he was already at the freeway entrance and declined to turn around for a kiss!
I got a lot of support with these situations from friends who have helped me learn to trust my instincts.
